In a world where Dinosaurs live among the human race comes Jurassic World Dominion (2022)

I absolutely loved this movie from beginning to end – not only do you get monstrous dinosaur action in the first 20 seconds but our favourite characters from the likes of Jurassic Park. Laura Dern as Ellie Sattler, Sam Neill as Alan Grant, and the infuriating but loveable Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm return and team up with Chris Pratt as Owen Grady and Bryce Dallas Howards as Claire Dearing – a combination to die for!

Throughout the movie, the videography was absolutely picturesque – especially of the arctic landscape. Not only was the scenery gorgeous but the movie definitely wasn’t without the tense moments that got a few gasps out of me and had me on the edge of my seat desperately wanting to know what was going to happen next.

There were plenty of strong, badass female characters that had their motherly protection shine clearly through but to be honest if I was faced with a dinosaur trying to eat me – I am 100% running in the other direction, I’m not protecting anyone!

As well as the strength of the characters Jeff Goldblum as Ian Malcolm never failed to have me laughing or rolling my eyes at his comments – with fantastic dialogue such as “It’s always darkest just before eternal nothingness,” how can you not?

In this final installment of Jurassic World, there were not as many gory scenes as we saw in the previous Jurassic Worlds and Jurassic Park films, making it suitable for a younger audience. But if you’re part of the older generation, you’ll be sure to get that nostalgic kick. The kids sitting behind me in the theatre loved it – with their giggling and the random yells of “GET THEM!” that I heard.

The references to genetics throughout the Jurassic Journey have always fascinated me – it’s not just a movie of fiction but it can also encourage young minds to explore science and it really makes you wonder – if there was no end to what we could do with geneticism – what could the world accomplish?
