Emma Cooper Williams

Emma Cooper-Williams is a 19 year old singer songwriter who draws on her lived disability experience for inspiration. She has won the Play It Strange Peace Song Writing Competition in 2014, the APRA Writers Lyric Award at the regional final Smokefree Rockquest 2016. Her debut EP will be out on February 23rd 2018.

Iris G

Iris G is a self-taught musician who started song writing at the age of 12 and has been writing pop, folk and alt-rock songs ever since. Her single, Supernova, was released after her 2016 win at Smokefree Rockquest along with a music video that took a dark twisted look on love. Iris G is an eccentric and exciting act who translates her neurotic personality into her music.

Ben Walker

Working for infamous dance music radio station, George FM by day, and dancing like a mad man behind turntables by night, Ben Walker loves life, music and everything in between. Expect to hear funk and soul blended with jazzy house roots and a mix of classic electronic flavours.

Max Earnshaw

Max is a young, dynamic, seasoned, performer. He plays a mixture of covers and original Blues, Jazz, Rock and Pop numbers. Max grew up in Christchurch where he played extensively on the street, in bars and at large events like Christmas In The Park and the Rugby World Cup.

Geoff Ong

Geoff Ong loves inside jokes, the ocean, and those days when it’s just a little bit too hot. He also makes soulful pop music bursting with fun, summery, instantly relatable tunes- a perfect soundtrack for fans of summer road trips, hanging out, and eating ice cream.

Soul and Ianetta

Bringing the vibrancy from South Auckland, Soul Brown and Ianetta are coming to Beats at the Brickworks 2018! With a backbone of a musical family, they fuse a fresh mix of Elvis to Etta Jane,  Bee Gees to Beyoncé. A real melting pot of classics and positive energy to have you shaking your shoulders. Rich with over a decade of experience between them, Soul plans an album release later this year. Keep up with them on Facebook, Youtube and all good social media.

Evan Reid

Evan shares the distinction of excellence as both a successful musician and a sought after music teacher. During the nineties and first half of this decade, Evan performed at various jazz festivals and gigs as a member of the duo ‘Easy Vibes’. His recent live engagements  have included work with some of NZ and the USA’s top musicians.

Cameron McCurdy

Cameron McCurdy performs a range of acoustic folk-rock music with a powerful voice and an ear for melody – like poetry sung over an acoustic guitar. His songs range from upbeat and fast-paced to emotional and profound, but all are thought provoking and satirical.”
I started making music at Green Bay High School when I lied to my friend that I knew how to play drums, from there I actually did learn drums, and I picked up every other instrument I could get my hands on.
My influences are Alt-J, Arctic Monkeys, Courtney Barnett, Ed Sheeran and Shakey Graves.

Jinan and Jim

From 60s rocknroll blues to the hits of today Jim and Jinan are two characters not to be missed. With inspiration by the likes of marvin gaye, stevie wonder, prince and much more.
